It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

This week Joe was lucky enough to have a day off in the middle of the week. He decided to go out and put up our Christmas lights while the weather was "fair" (see later pics). Even though it was chilly outside, Joe did an amazing job with the lights (like he does every year!). For those of you that know me well, decorating doesn't come easy to me so I'm lucky to have a husband who has an eye for those types of things! Here is a picture of the finished product for this year. I love the new addition of using some red lights along with the white this year. Great job Joe!

Then this morning we woke up to our first snowfall of the year. It only accumulated to one inch, but it sure was pretty to see! The first snowfall is usually very exciting for me since I didn't grow up with a lot of snow during the winter. I can still remember my excitement the time I woke up to 14 inches of snow(Winter 2003). There was snow from our doorstep all the way out to the street! Although this snow was mini compared to that, it definitely fills me with holiday spirit. My next goal is to finish decorating the inside of our house for Christmas and then finishing up our Christmas cards! (oh and working on the Christmas shopping too!)
